Yay! Karst Beach successfully opened on Saturday, May 26, 2018. We have had lots of happy and very tired guests since then…the Wibits provide a fun and exciting playground but will give you a workout.
Here is what you need to know to enjoy Karst Beach and Jellystone Park™:
Currently and in the future the existing park (pools, waterslide, mini-golf, etc.) will only be open to registered guests at Jellystone Park™. For now, Karst Beach is only open to registered guests at Jellystone Park™. Public day passes will be available to Karst Beach once we have a completed Ranger Station and paved parking lots and roads. The beach will be open daily from 10 am to 8 pm weather and daylight permitting.
The paving of the parking lot and roads has been completed and those areas are in the curing process. As of today, we have the Certificate of Occupancy (celebrate!) and we are making final preparations on the outside and inside of the building. We will do this as timely as possible. We will announce on here when we are able to allow days passes so please continue reading updates from here.
Since we are an all-inclusive resort, registered guests of Jellystone Park™ will not see an additional fee for the use of Karst Beach. Public Day Pass fees for the beach will be $15.00 for ages 6 and up, $7.50 for ages 4 and 5 and no fee for ages 3 and under. Ages 16 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult while at the beach. Life jackets are furnished and are required while on the Wibit. Pets are not allowed in the beach area.
We are excited to be adding a new play area called Boo Boo Playground. The playground will have two Jumping Pillows, Karst Beach Mining Company, pedal carts, a pet playground, play structures, horseshoe pits, gaga pit, tire swing and more. Again, no additional charge to registered Jellystone Park™ campers except mining bags for the sluice. Karst Beach visitors have the option of adding this on for an additional $5 plus any mining bags they may want to purchase. We do not have a firm completion date on this addition.
While it was our original goal to be fully operational in May of 2017, everything didn’t go in our favor -- mostly the weather. Please stay tuned for exciting grand opening news. We are so very happy to be able to add this attraction to our community. We ask for good thoughts and patience in the upcoming weeks.
